Facts about cycling in Finland
- 20% of commuting is done by bicycle
- The cycle paths lead almost everywhere: Helsinki has 1200 km of cycle paths and Oulu has 600 km—4 meters for each resident
- 10% of adults cycle at least once a week during the winter
- In the cities of Oulu and Joensuu, about half of the cyclists keep on pedaling through the winter.
